Site Updates
Many site pieces have had their content updated to prepare for the oncoming scholarship commitees. Likewise, a few shouts
have gone out to fellow designers and game companies for review. Much of this work is being done behind the scenes in the
"Vault".
So You Want To Be A Game Designer Eh?
Ever since I was a kid I've wanted to make games. It all started when I got my grubby little hands on the original D&D
starter kit at age nine. By age twelve, I was writing my own game, and by age 15, I had books of scribbles, weapons, and
engines that I had created. A few years later, I went to college to create online worlds which are now known as MMORPGs.
Unfortunately, I took a wrong turn near graduation and got sucked into the .com explosion. I ended up doing more graphics
and apps development, and working for big companies like Borland, Silicon Graphics, Microsoft, and Adobe.
But now it's time to fullfill my dream - to make games for a living. So, I'm returning to a journey I started long ago.
Fingers crossed...

Site Revamp and a Tutorial
Although I like .ascx controls, I disliked that I was feeding the majority of the site content from .xml feed files. As a
developer, I'd rather have my content (strings) in the container I logically navigate to for editing. While adding those
mods, I also wanted a way to get rid of my image dependencies for titles where I use my custom font. Here's a
tutorial on how to craft a handy Flex swf for generating titles in a custom font.
